Building a Huge Rose Garden Pictorial

These are pictures taken from posts in the blog.  If you want more details, you can see dates on most of the pictures.  I would just hover around the given month if you want to know more.

January 1, 2013.  This is what the backyard look like when you stepped out on the front porch.  This is where I wanted to plant the rose garden.

If you look to the right you see a pool with a lot of surrounding trees

If you walk a little to the edge of the front porch you see a cold frame and more trees.

I cleared these trees.  This is the view from the first picture after removing the trees

After clearing more trees on the side

Cleared more trees on the back

Used landscaping program to figure out what to put where

What the back of the pool looked like in start of project

Started clearing paths and putting up sky pencils after I determined  it needed a frame

Lots of perennials to frame the roses

Started liking the the progression...the rye grass was there before I decided to do this..or rather I planted

I soil tested but not sure what to do with the results.

Cleared out around the back porch which was heavily weedy.

Wow, what a LOT of work you've done this year. Next year your gardens will look fuller and even better. It takes a couple of years to get established. Of course, it doesn't take that long for weeds to move in and start to take over. I've got plenty of them and vines to get rid of when it gets cooler down here in s.e. FL.

I look forward to watching your gardens grow.

I got too ambitious and will complete it during the winter..I screened the entire area....weeds grow on top believe it or not but it slows them down at least
