The Colors Of Halloween

I think fall is late.  We have temps in the 80s and lows in the 60s.  Some signs of fall are showing.  When the days are short, I get very lethargic.  I use full spectrum lighting on my desk & the greenhouse to offset it.  But the flowers are showing no sign of stopping.  This is my second Halloween gardening.  But I have come to mark it as the end of the growing season (unofficially).  I am not going to put a lot of verbage in this post but I wanted to mark it...one day my gardens will be called, The Gardens of October so I want to know what's blooming on Halloween.

I shot a ton of pics trying to catch these guys

Oh to have such a long season and so much colour still. Things are very definitely winding up in the UK now, I shall be struggling to find flowers for a while!

I think it's a trade off...here, plants need a WHOLE lot more watering than you can imagine...In the heat of the summer...I feel it is impossible to give them too much & if you don't water unestablished plants regularly they will surely die...the upside is a longer season...

But nothing has gone close to dormant.

Good effort at capturing the monarchs. They simply do not sit still and pose like some do.

Did you get rain? We got more than an inch.

You have a lot blooming. I am hoping for a long, warm autumn this year - I have so much left to do in the garden! My camellias have not started blooming just yet. Maybe soon!

@Jean...when I posted them...google animated because I tooks so many in rapid succession. We got about an inch here, too....no sign of cold weather so far.

@Holley, I have a ton of guests coming for Thanksgiving...I wonder if it's too much to hope for no freeze...
