Last spring, my mother had given me a birdbath which I suddenly realized was a fountain. I was so excited I ran out and bought a topper for it, which was quickly named "Charlie" As I began designing the massive rose garden in the back yard, and noticing how much the back yard was becoming part of the interior of the house....I noticed Charlie wasn't blending well. I love Charlie but inside are classic paintings and sculptures. Charlie....was more tropical. So I put Charlie, in the brunch room...my mother hearing of this quickly asked if she could have it...hesitant I said yes, albeit reluctantly. When she came over today, she was so excited that was the first thing she asked for...with the single mindedness I have for a new rose....I felt better, Charlie has a new home.... So what did I replace Charlie with????
Meet Aurora....Goodess of the Dawn
However, let me caveat....I do not like male nudes (at least not frontal)...I hate, hate, hate the little boy peeing fountain...and I do not like female nudes that are a little too "descriptive"
On an unrelated note.....what is this??????????
Mom, came back from the nursery and said she brought me roses...but its growing on wood...I mean wood....the leaves look like roses but the wood....well, it looks like a tree....I thought brandywine crabapple..but mother insisted that the nursery manager said it was a very old rose .....OGR? Anyone...recognize what this is?

Whatever it is...it kinda looks cool against dark curtains...
Interesting rose. Can you call the nursery and ask about its history?
I am guessing that your mother's garden has a tropical theme. Has she been gardening long?
Anyone has been gardening longer than I have. I may ask the nursery but all he said was it's an very old garden rose...roses were not something they normally carry...
I don't care if she is nude, it's really beautiful and surely my wife would want to have this when she see this.

@Ketz...we have two teenage boys and they didn't consider her nude because her breasts were hidden....lol..boys!
I bought the statue from Toscano...google it and you discover how inexpensive she was. She was concreted inside of an old bird bath base.
